Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
install and recover longwall equipment on at least two occasions, including:confirming work requirements details, including:equipment and equipment defectsachievement targetsgeological conditionshazards and potential hazardscoordinating with other work groups involved, including:equipment operators transportation operators.During the above, the candidate must:locate and apply relevant documentation, policies and procedures and confirm work activity is compliantimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for installing and recovering longwall equipment, including:reading, interpreting, applying and communicating technical informationidentifying and minimising environmental issues, potential hazards and risks selecting and using relevant tools and equipmentcomplying with environmental requirements and constraintsidentifying work requirementsapplying fault finding techniquesapplying hand-eye coordinationinterpreting mine survey and geological datamaintaining equipment recordswork effectively with others to install and recover longwall equipment in a way that meets required outcomes, including:organising work activities to meet task requirementscommunicating clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructionscomplying with reporting requirements and proceduresdetermining coordination requirements throughout work activities.
